When I started the Ki Leadership Program I was new to the position and not confident because of my lack of knowledge in the field. Also, I was unsure on how to approach the new team. After the KLP, I am confident in knowing how to identify the personality type of my team members and generational gap challenges which helps me immensely to best guide them. I have more understanding of what “Leadership” means. Ming is a great Leader/Coach, detailed-oriented and with helpful niche observations. 

I was struggling being a manager in the company and had no connection with the staff. I did not have the necessary tools, knowledge, and scope of perspective to be able to be the best leader I could be. Ming is a burst of energy and fresh air. She is an example of how through adversity in her own personal career, she has been able to overcome and learn so much and in doing so, created this program to share to other professionals. She is empathetic and understands how the business world works and what is needed to create a healthy work environment on different levels. I am more confident in my abilities and know much better how to strategize and understand what it means to be a leader. the program is different than my normal way of learning and is reflective in nature. the incorporation of body, mind and spirit is something unique to the program and will have a life long lasting impact on my way of work but also personally.

First and foremost in module one about positioning yourself. I was put into another position during the start of this program and had a difficult time with positioning myself. module 1 in combination with coaching from Ming has set the tone and I when I was able to actually position myself, I finally understood module 1 and could feel the shift internally. This program has made a fast shift within our organization where once we were able to identify our current state of leading and change it from fear based to flow. I am using jargons from this program in my day to day process at work. This program is a part of me.

It is mind blowing how recognizable energy within the company, generational influences, connection, yin and yang energy etc. can be seen in practice and by being aware of all of these can dramatically shift a company for the better. 

Before the KLP, I felt that I did not know where I belonged in the organization I work. I sometimes felt insecure in certain decisions and needed reassurance because I had the fear that it was not the right one. During this process I realized that I am working within my profession of social work in all of the levels and now I feel the support and understanding of the people because they are included in the decision making process. This program is interconnected through the 3 pillars of mind body and soul in order to work on you and the organization holistically. You can always count on Ming, she is never disappointed in you. She pushes you to you maximum potential. She helps you reach perspective. She grounds you.

My key takeaways are: Positioning and connection, shifting the mindset of trying out more than one strategy before reaching a conclusion, self care tips, and the most importante one, the flow of energy. I am ready to make use of the tools and skills I developed. Keeping in mind the knowledge about energy that I gained, we experienced it first hand.

I would highly recommend the KLP program to every new Manager or Senior Managers and Leaders that want to identify their role as a Leader and guide their team with Purpose!

Today I can definitely say I am way more confident about myself in my role as Operations Manager and fully understand the purpose and importance of my role within the team. It was a great experience to work with Mingli and her team. The workbook and the tools provided during the program are modified to me as a person which makes it a fun challenge to implement directly within my team and on the work floor. During the program, I learned the perfect tools to keep control and guide my one on one meetings, and how to work with a diverse team from different generations as well as exercises to improve my verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Setting clear company goals always seemed an enormous obstacle for me but, with the tools and guidance of the training, I am now able to way better strategize, create, and work towards clear SMART (company) goals.
